A light scent in some of our formulas is completely normal. It comes from the ingredients themselves, not added fragrance, and it fades quickly after application.

Sheer Genius SPF 50 Mineral Sunscreen - Most people don’t notice a scent, but if you do, it’s coming from the zinc oxide. That’s the mineral that provides your sun protection. We don’t add masking fragrance to cover it, since added fragrance can be more irritating than helpful. The scent is mild and disappears shortly after you apply.

Restore Barrier Recovery Oil - This formula is built around purposeful ingredients, so we skipped added fragrance here as well. The slightly earthy scent comes from the oils and extracts in the formula. It’s subtle and fades quickly once applied.
