Are the Lip Oils SPF 30…or SPF 32?Updated a year ago
If you’ve worn our Lip Oils for a while, you may have noticed that they used to say SPF 32, and now that we have added the name Sun Shine, they only say SPF 30. What did we change? Nothing except the SPF claim. Because the lip oils tested out at SPF 32, we claimed that on the packaging, but the FDA does allow us to make a lesser claim. We decided to reduce because we sell the lip oils in Europe, and the EU has a rule that sunscreen products must be multiples of 10. You can have SPF 20, 30, 40, 50…but not 32. So we have changed the claim to SPF 30, but you are still getting the exact same protection as you did before. The formula has not changed.
